So I only let my new turkey's out when I am home and available to keep an eye on them so they are a bit limited on freedom. On a recent adventure outside of the pen they discovered "dusting". They took great pleasure in it, it was the first sunny day after weeks of rain. However, they chose the horse manure pile to dust in. I guess to each his own. Here is a pic. These are my very first pet turkeys. I wanted a blue slates but mom bought be these guys. Well actually one Tom and I am 99% sure the other is a hen.

Thanks. I suspect that they are just regular old meat birds. So I am trying to keep them from gaining to much weight as I want them as pets, not to eat.

Are they white and black? Could they be Royal Palm?

I just took a video yesterday of my new babies "dusting" in the grass. They were watching a silkie chick do it first and immediately did it with him

So cute! Oogly, the silkie baby was getting picked on by his siblings and his owner didnt have any place to put him alone so he came here. He is so sweet and Ben and Debbie follow him around whenever we are together. I'll post the video here as soon as its done uploading in about a WEEK!
