I can't seem to find the thick, round wooden stakes at my ace hardware or home depot. Does anyone know where I can buy these?

how long do they need to be? Does Home Depot have dowels? You might be able to sharpen the ends if they are long enough.

Dowels! Exactly! That's what I need. Thanks!

I am obviously not a builder, and this is the first time that I have really built something. It's a 12 x 10 coop, with the help of a builder friend.

Just curious..what are you using these stakes for?

Try a different store. Our Sutherlands doesn't carry round stakes but they do carry square stakes in a variety of sizes and lengths. If you buy the size you want in their store, Lowe's will cut them to length for you.

Um, thick round wooden stakes for what?

Do you possibly mean fenceposts (like round cedar fenceposts 4-6" diameter)? You would get those at your feedstore, also possibly TSC.

If you mean anything else, I'm stumped, what do you want to do with them?
