She hasn't been handled at all, but she's pretty docile and I don't think she's feeling well.I don't think any of my chickens would stand still enough for the scale!
Is it because they've been handled a lot?
She's showing very little interest in food, is yawning and now has odd little white specs in her throat. I suspect bacteria or yeast, but haven't ever seen them in person. Of course I have many drugs that will treat both, just need to figure out the best choice for her.Yup,she is sick, you can tell by looking at her eyes, they just have that look.
Symptoms of candidiasis are: loss of appetite, lethargy, white spots in mouth, delayed emptying of crop,swollen/mucus in crop. Has she been on any antibiotics as they can also cause yeast infections. In baby birds when hand feeding,we can transfer a yeast infection from our own hands/feed utensils as their immune system is not completely developed, but the same is true for older birds who have a compromised immune system due to some underlying cause. She's showing very little interest in food, is yawning and now has odd little white specs in her throat. I know you know all of this. I would start with a fungal infection.
