Thin Feathers

So I am not to sure whats going on, but my girls feathers seem to be thinning. I searched for bugs and found none. They did eat their eggs last week so I dont know if maybe something is going on that I cant figure out. Should I give them more protein????

How old are your girls?


This is the time of year for a body molt.


What is the protein level of your feed? I like a 20% minimun - feathers and eggs take a great amount of protein to form.

They are a year and a half about. Their food is the normal 16%, but they do get out in the yard for bugs

... I think I will give them some protein
