Thin shell eggs

I got my first egg today!! YAY! However, the eggs were very small, the shells were paper thin, one was a tear drop shape and they were totally the wrong color. Is this normal for a first egg?

Sounds pretty normal for first eggs. It sometimes takes a hen awhile to work out all the kinks at the egg factory.
