Thing 1 and Thing 2.. what am I?! :)

Hello beautiful day and beautiful people!

A lovely friend gave me some cute mystery baby chicks! (they said the farm they came from breed ameraucana, lavender orpingtons & brabanter) They are 10 weeks old today! .. before I ramble any further lol, what do you think, are the grey chicks; Thing 1 and Thing 2 pullets or cock-a-doodle dooos ? Bonus points if you know what breed they could be!

Thing 1 has some weird brown colour leakage on it’s neck, & Thing 2 has lightly feathered feet but a more pinkish comb! Whatcha think?

They look just like my Blue Birchen Marans! Except for the lightly feathered legs. Can’t see if yours have feathers.

Just read again that one of them has lightly feathered feet they could very well be blue birchen Marans. They could also be blue copper Marans that have a little bit of copper leakage around the neck. They are late layers and probably won’t start laying till at least 6 to 8 months of age. Looks like you got lucky with these two! They’re gorgeous!

Wow do they ever, like twins!! One of them has lightly feathered feet! The other doesn’t!

Very cool! Thank you for all that info! They are starting to bud into their personalities and pretty neat so far!

Agreed, both female.
The fact that one has feathered feet and one doesn't makes me think neither are a pure breed.
Very pretty birds.
