I've had my first guineas out of the brooder and then baby pen and outside for a few weeks now. They're in their own pen, in the middle of things, where the ducks can see them and vice versa and they could all interact a bit etc. Well a week ago they got out, (still not sure how that pen door got left open) and when I went outside everyone was mingling with no problems. It was like the guieas didnt even notice ( or care) that they were surrounded by 40 ducks.
They are all ranging together and when we call the ducks to come for treats or to head for bed at night the guineas come right back with them. I know as they grow older they will grow bolder, ( they're 7 weeks old) but for now I'm at least happy with the ways things are working out.
Here's the problem... Now I want more guineas.
