So Im sleeping on the couch (my choice) and I hear this loud holler outside the front door. Then it travels around to the bedroom windows waking everyone up.

I thought of what it could be as I was putting my boots on and grabbing a flashlight to go investigate at 2:30 am:

A manticore perhaps?:



naw...to greek mystical


La Llorna from my childhood?:



Naw.....too south-western

A bunyip?:



Naw...to dot and the kangaroo-ish.

Maybe this:

I chased him off the property. How dare he make me think of the other goblins and ghouls and be spooked for the rest of the night.

I guess, living on an army base would be extremely scary sounding! Guess I'd better ask my son, he's at Ft. Eustis!

Naww, you get used to it. I can sleep like a rock now. When my hubby is out on the range he calls me sometimes to tell me that he was the one who just gave the command to fire. I find low flying helicopters more annoying.
 
If the ducks aren't going off and the dogs arent going berserk its not worth getting out of bed for.
