not really my home town but have lived here for 22 years ...was home to Wolfman Jack,,anyone remember him in American Graffitti also radio.

Hertford nc which i ten miles from Belvidere was home to Jim (Catfish) Hunter.

My hometown of Macon Mo has a Banquet Foods factory.

I'm from Toledo, Ohio, famous for:

Tony Packo's hot dogs

Alan Alda (character on MASH who made the phrase "Holy Toledo!" famous)

Katie Holmes (yes, Tom Cruise's wife is a Toledoan. Ugh.)

Glass (Toledo's known as the Glass City for Owens-Corning Glass and Libby-Owens-Ford Glass)

Jeeps; the Jeep was designed and introduced in Toledo and has been produced there for decades. It's the town's major employer.

My hometown of Sycamore, IL is famous for its annual Pumpkin Festival.

The next town over, DeKalb, is famous for being the birthplace of barbed wire (Glidden and Ellwood) and DeKalb Seed, Poultry and Swine.

The town I live in now is famous for nothing. It isn't even big enough to be on a map. LOL!

Lancaster, PA: Amish people, Turkey Hill ice cream & iced tea, pretzels (Sturgis' are best), Wilbur chocolate (used to make Godiva chocolates--Godiva only makes the fillings), Ephrata spring water, marshmallow Peeps, Y&S Candies, Twizzlers, Kellogg's, Mapquest, cloisters and various religious movements, the Fulton steamboat, Charles Demuth (watercolor artist), Milton Hershey, Thaddeus Stevens (abolitionist), James Buchanan (15th president and our only gay president), and FW Woolworth.

I miss the Turkey Hill tea and the Wilbur Buds.
