I got a call from my friend in Mo., where I am boarding three Alpacas, getting ready to bring them home actually, but then the heat kicked in . . .Venus is pregnant and having some issues, so she is on her way to UM Vet school for monitoring. I want a healthy mom and baby, but the thought of an emergency c-section has me scared to death. I started this business on a shoestring budget and a $2500 c-section would about put me flat on my face. Please give good thoughts to Venus and her baby and hope that an IV will do the trick and being in AC. Thanks!! (Venus lost her baby last fall and they thought it was because of a virus that went through the herd, but now suspect it might be toxemia. THAT is bad!!!)
