Think my roo is an Aussie?

Not sure if he is an Aussie or if he is a Black Sex Link. It doesn't matter since he was supposed to be a pullet LOL I just wondered what he is.

His feathers are very green and sometimes even look bluish/purple in spots when the sun hits them. The biggest thing that makes me wonder is you can see there is some white on the tips on his back. He is 14 weeks old today.

That is an Aussie. The green sheen to the feathers will give it away. And yep...big ol rooster there! Gotta love the Australorps!

What color are the bottoms of his feet? If they are a pinkish/fleshy color he's an Aussie, if they are yellow, he's a Jersey Giant. They both have that greenish or purplish sheen to them.

He does however look like an Aussie to me.

Thanks for that. My hubby got a look at his feet. (Boy is that guy hard to catch!!!) The bottoms of his feet are yellow. So *sigh* I was hoping for an Aussie but guess I will learn to love my Jersey Giant.
