Thinking about adding to our little flock! Yes or no?

As long as you properly integrate the new chickens and have enough space. I've never had a rooster past 6 months of age, but the crowing COULD mean he wants more hens but there could be other reasons why he crows. You can get him a rooster collar, caponize him, or decrow him. If neighbors aren't a problem then let him do what he does unless he annoys you.

The crowing doesn't bother us really and we live out in the country. We have a common area that kind of doubles as a camp ground in the summer. Every once in a while we get campers that pull in here at 2 in the morning and play their music super loud. Wait til they get a load of Scooby! Crowing at day break. I hadn't thought about keeping them separated for a bit at first so I'm glad I asked here first.

That's good he can do his thing, wish we still had at least one of our roosters. One was a handsome partridge cochin. You can look up instruction on how to integrate chicks or grown birds into a flock.

We just went out and collected or daily 4 eggs. I guess that means that the hens are happy if they are laying every day. We also picked each bird up and inspected it very closely. Daisy, the most docile, has quite the bald spot behind her comb. Probably 1/2" down her neck. We don't know if that is from her being pecked by the girls or from Scooby mating her.
The 4 hens look good, we even got a peek at their vents and everything looked really healthy.
We even got to pick him up and he didn't freak out too bad. Chickens are very warm!
Husband is out right now getting a current pic of our coop. I'll post it here and on the coop forum.
