Thinking about amputating chicks leg... yes or no...

Well i was born with a messed up leg and i have had 12 surgeries because of it. Sure my life is different to someone elses, but i hope nobody kills me. i adapted to it. And im happy i lived​

Well okay since animals are not above us ( we came from animals) We should just kill them if there is something wrong with them right? Can't she just let it live, and only cull it if it gets in the way with life? Dogs have there legs amputated. just let it live? Will letting it live cause problems in YOUR life?

Humans can understand the reason for pain and the need to adapt. Animals cannot be comforted or reasoned with when they are in pain, they just suffer and suffer more. Humans know that they will receive pain meds when they complain of the pain, prosthetic limbs when the stump is healed to make it easier to "adapt", and they can understand the need for all of this.

A chick? All it will understand is that it is in pain, the pain is bigger when the human chops off it's leg and now it is unbalanced and disadvantaged until it, or even IF it, can learn to hop on one leg.

All that in the name of compassion and humanity? Please kill the poor thing.

So you would rather the OP take a knife to its leg, cut it off without painkillers and make it hop around on one leg for the rest of its life?

I live in Oregon we have a law that allows us to kill the terminally ill without prosecution by the law,people that is. We are no longer animals last time I looked in the mirror (if you believe that we once were) so in my opinion we have a dominion of sorts or a elevated status to some degree above animals otherwise your dog would look both ways before crossing the road. The philosophy that we are equal to them can work both ways we can be treated as animals and if your parents felt that way they may have made a choice that would have been not in your best interest. That choice that is available to us is [part of the dominion over animals that we have and when using that knowledge we can ascertain the fact that the chick simply will not make it but all the chick knows is it is hard as hell to walk and function in and of itself and I doubt that it would even know that much.
