Thinking about buying Blue Laced Red Wyandotte

I was wondering how hard these are to raise? I saw them in a murray mcmurray catalogue and thought they looked very interesting.

They are very easy to raise. Only lost one.

But DO NOT buy from McMurray or you will be sadly disappointed. They do not looks like their pictures. Get some from a breder. They will be beautiful for sure!

I think they are beautiful but get them from a breeder for sure. Or invest in an incubator and buy some fertile eggs then hatch them yourself.

I have just bought several dz eggs off of Eggbid because the one pair I do have isn't going to be enough. And the pullet hasn't even started laying yet.
So I am hoping to get a decent start with shipped eggs (yeah, go ahead and laugh!). I am thinking if 3 eggs from each dz hatch and only one is a pullet and I buy from several different breeders, then possibly I will get a quad with different bloodlines and then can work on color and type.
A lot of work for a Wyandotte but DH absolutely loves the color and we think they are really striking birds. What is a breed without a challenge, after all?
