Now I beg to differ with that. My drakes never mess with the chickens I have 3 drakes 2 Runners and 1 Muscovy. My Muscovy drake will grab a mouth full of feathers if a chicken gets too close to his space but they learn real quick to stay out of his way But my Muscovy Ducks will grab a chicken and not let go , I have looked out the window when I have heard my goose hollering [she is my watch goose] lol and see a Muscovy holding on for dear life as the chicken is trying to get away. Never has one been injured but it sure does make them upset. Now if I had one of my roos tied up out there that may be a different story altoghter.Female ducks do not climb on top of chickens. If you keep all females then none of these concerns are going to affect you.
