We are considering getting a couple more hens this spring/summer...preferably pullets (I don't feel knowledgeable enough yet to try chicks or hatching!). We have one hen house (a nice size one) and 4 hens that live there. Any suggestions on how to introduce birds and tips on how this should be done? I like to keep the flock in their coop for at least a week so they know where they live and where to roost at night but I obviously already have hens in there so I'm not sure how to even do a quarantine! Ideas? Thoughts?

I am new to the flock addition thing as well only I will be adding chicks once they have feathered out and grown a bit. I plan to section off a portion of the coop and keep them inside for a week then section off an area in the run and let them in and out both sectioned areas for a week before taking down the "see me don't touch me" barriers. Not sure how to do it if you need to quarantine them. I'm sure some seasoned BYC friends could provide some insight.
