I think I have baby fever again:love I incubated eggs from my own hens twice, but have never done ducks before. I have a Khaki Campbell drake, a muscovy hen, and a crested hen of some sort. We lost our big boy burt, a muscovy, a couple months ago. :hitI think burt's passing triggered this baby fever. I don't want to hatch with my ducks, especially my crested. I'm not sure how soon I want to start hatching, maybe sometime in the spring. I quite like breeds like muscovys, more natural looking, but Im not sure what breed I'd like to hatch. I know the basics of hatching from my rounds beforehand, but I'm not sure how different duck incubation is from chicken, so, I have some questions.
1. What are some good breeds for incubation?
2. Does central Florida have any decent fertilized egg sellers? OR
3. Any online sellers that are known for good eggs and shipping?
4. What is the best way to incubate duck eggs?

This is the incubator I have https://www.amazon.com/Farm-Innovators-4200-Circulated-Incubator/dp/B007571DFM
Any tips, hints or suggestions are welcome!

Here is a tip, Don't do it! My 7 new chicks and mom hen are driving me crazy!:barnie I thought I lost my hen, but she came back from under the porch with the 7 ameraucana chicklets, and oh man are they cute!
They are driving canna "mom hen" and me crazy!:he

Chick's can be quite a handful! That's one of the reasons I'm waiting till it gets warm again, I want to be sure I want to do this. I want to be prepared when it happens. I've had hatching again on my mind for a few years already, but I just haven't had the time on my hands. Any new chickens in the last few years have came from a hen sneaking off like yours!

Ducks take longer to hatch, 4 weeks instead of 3 weeks. I think you'll want to keep the humidity a little higher too.

Yah, those sneaky, feather headed, beautiful, egg laying, food stealing, did I miss anything?,,, spent the whole day building a coop within the coop for the new chicklets, or as I call them, "chicken nuggets"
