Thinking about owning ducks

Thanks for the advice everyone! I was thinking Cayuga ducks are they fairly quiet?

I can't tell you about adult ones, as mine is just now about 5 weeks old - but so far s/he is the quietest of my crew, i have a mallard and the two pekins as well. The pekins are by far the noisiest

Cayugas are so pretty! I wanted to get one before I found my ducky. I was told they're not very loud & work well for backyards.

My Cayuga is pretty loud... But I think that's her personality. Males are always quiet, but you don't get eggs from them

. I only have four ducks, and they're not so loud that I feel bad for the neighbors or anything.

Pekins are pretty quiet when they're happy. So if they're noisy you know something's up.

Mine are noisy when they see me.. they want food - always. That's the something that's up with them all of the time. I think I spoil them too much!

Ooops! Forgot to mention! I have a Cayuga. I'm guessing its a drake because hes got a low raspy quack. He's no noisy at all! He's such a sweet boy!!
