Thinking of buying a microscope...

I'm wanting to buy a microscope for poop analysis and such for my pets. I'm trying to eliminate the wait for lab results which is what I'm doing now regarding my sick RIR, Rita. Anyone know what power I need for this and is s a student scope with 400x power enough?

I got a great scope called am scope. off amazon. it comes with everything and can hook up to your computer it was really reasonable. check it out off Amazon. you'll need a higher power than 400x
check out the amscope I think you'll like it! I also raise Koi fish and use it for slime coat samples also.hope this helps good luck!

Yep, I've wanted one for years since I started fishkeeping 10 years ago. Thanks, I will check it out on Amazon. Found one on Craigslist but as you say, not enough power. Which one exactly did you get on Amazon?

Zonoma, which scope do you have and how high is power?

I honestly couldn't tell you without digging it out. It was given to my children and I when I began homeschooling. I can tell you it's nicer than the scopes I used in high school, though. I was pretty amazed when they gave it to me and can't wait for next school year and biology! With an emphasis on poo and chicken blood samples, apparently.
