na don't know anyone else on BYC that is here sorry so can't update anyone on that front.

things are pretty munted all over, looks like most of the central city is a write off, 80% of the city with no running water, 35% with no power (we're lucky and have both), official death toll is over ninety now and likely to get a fair bit higher. houses are pretty badly damaged too everywhere, people living in emergency shelters scattered around the city etc. we manage though, pretty lucky really. got the essentials and are pretty resourceful and self-sufficient anyway ha.
