Thank you all!!! I thought so as well. The comb turned that color over night. Now..does anyone have any thoughts on what he could be mixed with? Options are light or buff brahmas. Buff orpington or white leghorn.

What color is the Brahma father?

Unless the father is completely white (which Brahmas usually are not), I'm guessing the mother is a White Leghorn, because the chick's feathers look completely white to me. He might get small amounts of black or red as he grows older, or he might not.

My second choice would be Buff Orpington mother, but I think that's less likely.

I'm pretty sure his mother is not any kind of Brahma. I would expect some amount of black markings if his mother were a Light Brahma or a Buff Brahma, and probably more feathers on his feet if his mother were any kind of Brahma at all.

The Brahma father accounts for him having some feathers on his legs and a not-single comb.
