I am not sure anyone has thought about this cross to make a home made meat type birds I wish I had a rooster so I could do it
My faverolle hens are big breasted meaty girls ! they have the famed dorking type body which is supposed to be good for meat birds. The delaware was origianlly used as a fast growing broiler type birds and they are the original broiler I have both breeds of hen but currently can't have a rooster if I could I think I would try it. Some one should try this cross out. I know many of these are much slower and this one probably would be too.
