This crummy Sumatra came from Ideal in TX

Ideal screwed up my order this year too. I was supposed to get 1 Production Red Male and 5 Production Black females... instead I got all Production Reds... in the same Order I was supposed to get one Buff Orpington male but 2 Buff Chickens came in the order. It wasn't like they sent an extra, I had a total of 25 chicks, some chicks I ordered didn't even end up in the order. I only heard good things about Ideal but my first experience with them showed that they mix up orders easily. Oh well I will just accept what I have because I still received 25 chickens even if I did not get exactly what I ordered.

I ordered from ideal and all but one out of the shipment was dead upon arrival. So I've been scared to have birds shipped because of this. Probably just my crappy luck but still. :/

I have no clue how they get to me from Ideal as a Texas overnight. They shipped them to me on a Wed and arrived Thursday morning. Three of ten died within the 24 or so hours of arrival from I'm assuming genetics as they absorbed their yolk sack(on during the first overnight with me 2 during that evening). They had every thing needed for success, and looked thriving in the brooder. (Those guys just got wobble legs and died 4 hours and seeing the condition happen.)

Meyers chicks all lived after 3 days in the Mail. They looked like really nice birds til the rescue dog ended them, but they struggled in the heat. These ones are more heat tolerant.

That sucks.
Mine where sent out on a Tuesday night and didn't get to me until Friday. I was pretty upset. Maybe I should've bought that grow gel stuff so they had it during shipping.

I just got six Muscovy ducklings from a local breeder and my husbands aussiedoodle decided he was going to try and eat them. He got in big trouble!
