I've had dogs do that, they were afraid of being left alone (in the house). When they laid like your chicken, they could tell if I was getting up or /leaving.

That’s adorable.

Yes! He actually rolls over to the side so I can rub his belly. He is confused. I keep trying to tell him that his is a chicken!
