I'll get pics up tomorrow of the 5 broody chicks..

Last night around 7pm got the first external pip... No progress by 10pm when I went to bed... Up at 5am and one chick out and the piped egg zipping!! While I watched another egg started moving and was able to se it was zipping also... 3Chicks are now out and drying, took the opportunity to grab my little LED and quickly candled the remaining 9... 7 have internal pips...

I'm seriously of the mind that not only is dry incubation in my area essential, but upon lockdown I add about half a sponge, ran under very warm water and partially wrung out.. This is the second time I have done this with amazing results.

What kind of incubator do you have? I'd love to see a pic of it...I live in Oregon, too!!

I have a Hova Bator still air 1602N.........The room humidity isn't dropping below 52% with the highest the other day measuring 61% (we had a bit of rain) My temps have been pretty consistent between 101-102 .. I did this as a test because it worked in a forced air incubator I had borrowed.... for some in drying climates it may not work..

Pics to come...Grandkids spent the night...kinda chaotic around here

Uh-oh...that incubator probably wouldn't work for me on the "other side of the hill" here in Central Oregon. We have almost no humidity here except during the winter months...eek! But your setup sure works for you...so happy for your hatch...and thanks for the pic of the new fuzzy-butts...CUTE!
