I dont know WHAT to think.
I talked with someone over at the police station today and their words were "We know who it is and we dont think you need to worry about them".
Even aside of everything else, HE APPROACHED MY CHILD and was overly friendly with her.
That is the biggest thing I cannot shake out of my head.
Plus, she said "they just hadnt time to go and talk to him yet". Oh yes. They have SO much going on.
I am a bit in shock and angry and frustrated tears.
Its why its so hard to call them in the first place.
We are NOT going to let down our guard about this, no way. It doesnt feel right.
I should have remembered. Its WHO you are and if you are one of the so called "lesser" people, you dont really count.
That is not my imagination either. I have seen it before all to often. It always upsets me.
One question. Is it illegal for them to tell me who it is???
But then, maybe I shouldnt be surprised. IF it is the same guy that has been the prowler all this time, they had ample time and more to catch him. But never do.
When it was just me calling in it was my "nerves". When it happened to others, it was brushed off and not really taken seriously.
I am done here for now. Great thing for an update, huh?

Maybe this is a great update. This thread did become a little paranoid

. Perhaps he is not worse case scenario, but just a little developmentally disabled or socially inept. Maybe he just wants to be friends with other dog owners. Of course keep your guard up until you know.

This was in your last post. Now I'm frustrated beyond belief! It's not them or their child that is being harrassed, it's you and you have a right to feel a certain amount of freedom and safety in your home. Like I said in my first post to you....CALL THE STATE POLICE!

I feel (my opinion) that you have had ample time to act on this and haven't....if you spent the same amount of time calling the police or going to their headquarters to get this taken care of as you've spent on line this might be resolved by now. Are you lonley and need attention? A lot of people are genuinely worried about you and I hope this isn't some kind of game.

Call an abused women's shelter and ask them for advice, even if they are in a large city and far away. They are professionals at dealing with nasty men like this and will probably be able to give you really good advice on how to deal with the man and the police.

The police won't take this seriously until something truly unfortunate has happened. They sound like they are being extremely chauvinistic about dealing with your complaint and may be outright lieing to you about knowing who he is.

Go ahead and mace him every time he shows up on your door step to discourage further harassement. I like the sticking gel mace, also.

I am so sorry this is happening. I know it is extremely stressful.
