This is interesting....

    In hatching eggs I put a Silver Spangled Hamburg egg in that was fertilized by my White Crested Black Polish.

    I only have one rooster and it is my Polish. Since I had room in my incu I thought why not see what they would look like
    just for fun.

    I have my Polish chicks and I know what they look like.
    I have seen SSHamburg chicks before.

    This looks nothing like either breed!

    It is all black. Leg, beak, feathers.

    Has anyone done this cross before?
    What do you think?
    Here are some photos. It is still in the incu and may be a little dark. Will take some more after he fluffs out.[​IMG]

    That's really cool! I only have Polish so I have never bred a cross. Can't wait to see what he looks like when he is out of the incubator.
