This is my first time incubating eggs. I have 36 eggs just placed in my Styrofoam incubator tonight. I think I've set everything up right - temperature, humidity, etc. I'm so excited to experience this. I can see how this can be addictive!!! I wasn't sure about cleaning eggs or not - the information out there is all over the place. I did not, sensing that Mother Nature doesn't clean the eggs, right?

I'd appreciate any and all comments, suggestions and support!!!

What brand and type of incubator are you using? I would know how to help better if I knew that info.
I never clean my eggs, mostly because when you cleanse (wash) your eggs, you get rid of an inti-bacterial coating on the eggs that blocks bacteria from entering and infecting the egg through its pores. This has resulted in far better hatches than when I cleaned my eggs. I frankly don't care about a spot of poop on the egg. I'm not worried that it looks bad; or has germs (which won't go into the eggs, remember?)
