Im not familiar with breeds. I dont know what a second Gen sex link is, but Im going to look that term up and have a look :D TY

sex links are a one time breed. a 2nd gen red sex link will have traits from both parents but you will not be able to tell the gender of any of the chicks. a cockerel of a 2nd gen can look like a red sex link hen would look like if any of this makes since.

First generation red sex link hens are colored similar to this bird, and the males are silver based and get red patches on the wings that grow as they age. The color is linked to the sex, hence the name.

But, when you breed these birds together, (second generation) you lose the linkage of color to gender. All the birds, male and female, end up with varying degrees of red and white. That's what your bird looks like to me, but that's not likely to come from a hatchery. Post again in 3 weeks or so. Nice to know the seller will take a return if you need it.
