Well I have a 2 month old leghorn as a pet. It always follows me everywhere. But the most shocking is he is a rooster. He literally will climb on me and got to sleep. Very tame. Is this natutural. Seriously is it?

I honestly don't know, but a friend of mine has a Leghorn Bantam and he is the same way. He likes to lay on his back in your arms like a baby and get rocked to sleep. He also climbs on shoulders and rides around...he begs to be held. It's the cutest thing! we got some eggs from his "wife", they're in the bator now, I hope we get one like him!

Thats great! I think the more time you spend with them the more attached they get. Some might never come around, but the ones that have great temperaments will! We just got a Serama Roo about almost a week ago. He'll be a year old in July. He's so chill. He will sit with you, and fall asleep in your lap. I was actually super worried he would be an a-hole, but he's great!! I also have a Barred Rock "Pullet" who has an enormous comb, and red wattles coming in. Best chick out of the bunch- and I think she's a he.

I can keep the Serama indoors with everyday outdoor time- but a full size Roo. Not possible! Everyone LOVES the BR... it's gonna suck hard if it does start crowing, and doesn't lay eggs! I can try and stay possitive though!

ok everybody. Thank you for the replies. He is not a bantam but he is not fully grown. I have a acre garden out and when I go out there and weed it I get him out of the coop and he follows right under my feet and when I see a bug I kind of put my hand to it. It takes a few times but he gets it after a while. And when I sit down, well he comes over there, hopes on my leg literally and he roosts here. Literally. He is my buddy. Had 2 hens like this but never a rooster. I believe I will finally name him. never named any of my chickens. Whats a good name. Maybe he will come to me.

I've had that happen to except the exact opposite. "Big Chicken" always followed me around my yard. Well I put him" in a seperate cage just lie all of my roosters. I give them a 8'x10' run and a little house per rooster. just happen to do my monthly cleaning and seen some "rocks" Well who put those in there? Well he was a she and so...
