Do you need a rooster for fertile eggs to sell or hatch? If not the hens will continue to lay just as many eggs (non fertile) without one, and be much less stressed. There is never a good reason to keep a bad roo. The market is glutted with tons of roosters because people can't or won't keep them.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Drumstick diva has given you some excellent advice. You don't want to risk an aggressive rooster injuring someone, nor do you want to breed that kind of aggression into your flock. If you need a rooster to fertilize eggs for hatching, you can always find a gentle one among the droves of roosters that are waiting to be re-homed. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Welcome to BYC!

I'm curious about your roo so hope you don't mind if I ask a few questions. How exactly is he behaving (bullying)? How many hens does he have access to? Are there other roosters in the same flock? Is he attacking people? A bit more information would be helpful...maybe he's not bullying as much as just acting like a normal rooster.

Good luck to you, thanks for joining us.
