When do hens get there combs? I have a GLW that is still pretty bare up there! She has small wattles now but other than that shes got nothin'. Feel free to laught i'm new at this! LOL

GLW have pea combs so you won't see much up there for awhile.

Sorry to correct you, Deniece, but Wyandottes have rose combs, actually. She's right, they dont pop up much till the girls are laying age.

20 weeks, you should be seeing something.

Yeah, they are a bit similar, aren't they? Even some pea combs are a bit "squashed" and look a tad like a rose comb.

She isn't laying yet but starting to get reall red wattles and red around the eyes. Not sure if that means anything or not!

At 20 weeks, she could certainly be within a couple weeks of laying her first egg, maybe less.
