I've had two Japanese quails for a week now. my female quail had vent prolapse which has finally gotten better. Bit because I had to put her in water when it was time to get out sheds start to shiver because she was wet. So I've been drying her with my hair dryer which she loves
The weird thing is that whenever I put my hair dryer on she's climb into my lap and start kneading me like a cat then sit down. But just today she started to climb onto me and start pecking at me under my jumper. And she also has this weird thing where she opens her mouth and starts to vibrate her neck?

This usually means they are either too hot or stressed out.

That vibrating is panting. The dryer might be making her too warm, or it might be scaring her (are you sure she loves it?).

I think so at least because normally she never comes near me and when the hair dryer is on shell omenjimp into my lap. And she's always opening her mouth and vibrating it wether the hair dryer is on or not and I keep it on medium heat and at a distance. I do keep both birds in an area where they can get both sunlight and a lot of air but the thing is she's the only one vibrating her neck whilst the male doesn't
