I can post a picture later this afternoon. I was wondering how to tell single barring from double, and if I have a rooster that I THINK is RIR x Plymouth Barred, is he single Barred? he should be, but I'm not 100% on his genetics, I just know he has a tiny bit of red leakage on his neck and tail, but otherwise looks like a Plymouth Barred Rock. this isn't really important, just trying to calculate probability of double barring when crossed to my other Barred birds.

Double barred only occurs on roos. Your single barred roo will 50/50 throw bar/not barred regardless of chick gender. All chicks without barring should be female if the hen is barred. All double barred should be male. Of the single barred offspring, should be 50/50 female/male. Red leakage a possibility across the board. I think...
