This is so exciting !

wait until all chicks hatch and then to protect them put up something like wire closet shelving in front of the nest box or move them into a dog crate in the garage or somewhere sheltered and warm. Make sure the chicks cannot get out of any holes wherever you decide to put them. So happy for you!!
Sofia gets pretty ticked it I try and get near .... should I wait till dark??

Just one week old , I also gave in to her because she continued to go broody she started with 4 eggs and hatched 2

I would just leave them if they have their own space- mama will be protective of her baby,
Thanks I might try that I'm off today so I'm keeping a close eye. She's the dominant one so I'm hoping they just leave them alone but have another space if needed
