This is very frustrating, cocci ? What to expect next?

I posted the other day about finding bloody stools monday morning. I had sulmet and started using it in the water and feeding a yogurt/oatmeal mash twice a day. I have 23 6 to 10 week olds.

No bloody poos yesterday and still no one acting like the symptoms I've read... no droopy, tired, fluffed out, etc

This morning I check the poo board and there are 2 identical (same bird maybe?) poops normal firm white top brownish color with red SOMETHING blobs??? in them. I would have taken a pic but dug into them with a stick b/f it occurred to me.

It was bright red and not swirly or runny just like a blob. Not hard when I poked it though.

Any ideas? Today was the day I cut the sulmet 1/2 in the water. I'll do that for another 3 days. Will this cure them?

Or is it something else? If it helps I can't be sure but I think it's a d'uccle pullet 8 weeks old. She's acting totally normal though. And really can't be sure, just noticed those 3 like to sit above where I found the poop this morning.

Thank you for any answers for this BIG WHINER (me) I'm just someone who needs to know what to expect ALL the time. It's a personal flaw.

no that opunds about right for cocci. I prefer Amprol and powdered milk in their feed, but sumlett works also.

Thank you, so now what? I forgot to mention that after reading some posts re: powdered milk I did add some to their feed monday night.

How long before I know that treatment has been successful?

it shopul only take a few days at most. poop will start being less runny and bloody and will look normal. The weakest chick may die, it sometimes happens even with treatment. My Chickes get it everytime the move to my basement brooder. Although I have sterilized it repeatedly. I believe they get it from my cat who lives with them i the basement and has had it before.

Now at the first sign or even when I move them to that brooder I put powdered milk ad some amprol in their water for the first week. I prefer powerderd goats milk above all others.
