I know I know, but I always thought of them like toy poodles. Cute to look at but not practical

You know, if it wasn't said in an ugly tone of voice why get upset? Some people prefer the larger eggs, it's their choice. She doesn't sound ignorant or stupid or any other less than flattering terms. At least she didn't just let you bring over the little eggs and throw them away. I love my little yard ornaments but I prefer the big girls eggs for baking and such and just the little ones for breakfast or such.

I think she suffered for lack of better words is all.

I think by stating you should get some real chickens, she was simply stating you should get some standard sized chickens. I don't think she was being cruel in any way.

My mother has two lapdogs and I'm telling her all the time that she needs a "real" dog. That being said, I know that her lhasos aren't dogs, just saying that mom needs a dog that someone will look at and think twice before robbing her. I don't mean any harm, it's just my way of suggesting her to get a "larger" dog.
