Well we have 13 hens. So the wife siad we will be fine going to buy chicken food and pine shavings on the day new chicks came in nope. I wanted just 4 leghorns so i get about 6 eggs a day in winter and my wife siad fine then me and the boys get to pick one out then to. So now we have 7 babies chicks in the house.

Ahh chicken math. I was lucky as even though I hatch my own chicks I went to tractor supply today and sadly they were sold out of every thing but ducks so I just brought home some ducks lol. I am a chicken collector lol.

That's why she sent you. She wanted more chicks too but you're the bad guy now. It is a good management plan to have a staggered flock so you have peak layers at all times. (Seriously!)
