We got 5 RIRs, 1 Barred Rock and 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte...I'm so excited! I've read such great things about the RIRs as far as egg production and temperament.

I've had RIR's in the past and loved them! Some say they are aggressive but I never had a problem with mine bullying the other breeds. And they are super egg layers (not to mention beautiful).

I guess it's a good thing the nearest TSC to me is in Chicago, a good 8 hours or so away, and my local feed store only has chicks in the spring. Meanwhile I am looking at all the pretty pics y'all are posting of your beautiful birds, reading up on their various temperaments, and drawing up a wish list. Starting with, I wish I had room for a few more chickens, lol!
