This isn't enough ventilation, is it?

The coop (the floor at least, not counting the nest boxes) is 3ft 9in by 5ft 9in. We have 4 buff orpingtons. My husband cut in two 10"x4" holes for louvered vents. It also has two windows, but during the winter I would probably keep them closed as they're at roost bar height. I'm in ND so very cold winters and can be hot summers. This isn't enough ventilation, is it? Should we add another vent on each side? Let me know if more pictures would be helpful.

Not done yet, obviously, still need to paint and shingle the roof, and build the run.

Cut out that peak entirely
What do you mean? We get feet of snow in the winter and rain other season.

Add a generous ridge vent before shingling.
But before.... that might consider extending the roof sheathing all around to protect and additional venting.
Are the soffits open?
Can you explain a little further? I'm sorry, we are both first time builders of any sort. The soffits are not open.

There is a board right here preventing us from just cutting out the whole gable.
