You know when the cows are standing in the water before 9 am it's going to be hot! In the last picture there's a duck family in the weeds, but you can't see them very well.

I remember those hot Kansas days. It was esp. bad when it was so hot and there were grass fires all around. I think my fave Kansas memory was walking around the lake in a tank top in February because it was 80 degrees out that day!

My husband says cattle are the only ones with brains on these hot summer days....you don't see them out in the sun working!!

We are melting here too, though today is better, a cool front came thru and we are supposed to only get to 95* degrees today...hope it holds for awhile.

Wonderful pictures! And they sure know the best thing to do on a day like today!

It was 100 yesterday, today it is 100, and tomorrow they are forecasting...100. HOT!!!!!

Sunday they said it might only be in the high 90's.
