This Old House Coop

Ty. Yes, I've changed my mind a million times lately. I will put a solid, lean-to roof across the coop and run. I plan a 4x4 coop, 2ft. Off ground, with 6 ft addl run-so 40sqft of accessible ground. Is 2 ft high enough for large chickens to be happy waking under there? I think that's where I'd put the water/food

I thought they did a good job with the wood word and design, it came together pretty good for them. There design was good for 2 chickens max or maybe a few dogs lol.

It helps to go back through this thread from the beginning to see all the issues folks had with the design. Beyond all others, putting 6 nest boxes in a 4' x 4' coop tips one off they didn't know anything about what they were building. But that is not unique to them. A lot of folks see something they think might work and slap something together.......well meaning folks........but folks who know little to nothing about the needs of the birds they want to raise.......and then wonder what went wrong when it fails.
