I can usually tell what gender my chicks are (gotten pretty good over the years
) but this one is driving me crazy! I "confirmed" this one has a male ever since it was two months old. Now, I'm second guessing myself.
It is 5 months old, some sort of game mix, and has green legs. It was also hatched from a green egg. As you can see its saddle feathers aren't pointed, and its tail feathers are round. Compared to it's *for sure* brother's (who are barred rocks) squawky clucks and chirps, it has a very light cluck and chirp like that of a female.
Any guesses? I've never had game birds (other than Old english games) so I really have no idea how the females "grow out".
Thanks!
