This one won't be catching any chickens.

Wow, that's one amazing Coyote!

And, one less pest.

I've killed a few here in central Maryland that were jet black. To bad they had mange, I would have had one of them nounted. The largest was almost sixty pounds.

I've only seen coyotes in the zoo although some do live around me. My friends hear them most every night and say that they sound scary

Thanks for that link, the one (or ones) we have seen here (Midlothian VA) had a sightly red tint to them, one we saw was moving VERY fast, having just hit the electric fence, the other, or maybe the same, was also moving away from us, also had a redish tint, neighbors kept saying it was a fox, but foxes move in a totally different way. They don't slink. I can't explain it, but I know it when I see it.
We do have a red fox around too. Very beautiful. I keep the girls as safe as I can. The coyote I would shoot in a heartbeat. The fox, not so sure, the same family of them has been here since I was 5 or 6. Or at least A fox family. That's 45 years of 'being neighbor', a very junior one used to hang out with my cats, actually followed them in the cat door. It was not chasing, the cats came in and one went to the food bowl and the other hopped on her chair and started grooming, then I heard the flap again, looked up from reading and said Hey you aren't a cat! Poor thing about had a heart attack. It was smaller than my cats, there is plenty for them to eat around here without them getting shocked. Yes I know it would love chicken for dinner. My job is to make sure they don't get it.
sorry for the ramble, very cool link.
