This poor guy I think was severely neglected. I purchased him at the local auction on Saturday, after putting him in quarantine, I found out from you great people on here that he has scaley leg mites, which I am treating him for, and they are looking very good. Now I am looking a little closer and I found this white, cottony substance on his ear, if that is his ear. Sorry couldn't get a better picture. I want to do what I can for this guy, he has been through enough.

By the way I am referring to the chicken, not my grandson!

Thats just the coloring on him.

A lot of chickens have white on their wattles and combs.
(especially roosters)

Poor guy! It might be nothing, but we clean our chickens waddles and combs off (our chickens enjoy mud and crud) with cotton swabs and a little bit of Hydrogen Peroxide. On a slightly funny side note, it looks like your little guy is stuck in the cage while your chicken is out!
