Hello all. I have been looking on this site quite some time now to learn how to care for my baby chicks. I finally decided to join today. I have had my baby chicks for a week now and am having a blast with them. I have 3 Cherry Eggers, and 2 supposedly Black Australorps ,though I suspect one is a Barred Rock.

And a Bantam rooster and hen that was given to me. This is actually the first time I'm raising baby chicks on my own.

They are so much fun, but I spend a lot of time worrying about them. I guess that is to be expected at least until they are big hens.
 
Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join to our flock. If one of your chicks is a Barred Rock, it will have a white spot on top of its black head. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your chicks.
