those that ordered from McMurray hatchery

I noticed alot of you saying you received and or are going to be receiving your birds, last week,this and next week. Did you get what you ordered? ok, what i`m asking is, on the mcmurray site, on top in red, where it lists the breeds available for a certain week. Many of the birds are listed as males only, or limited available. Assuming you all placed your orders more or less in advance, and only males are being sold,did you receive only males when in fact you more than likely ordered and PAID for females as well? Do they list "males only" because all the females are "spoken for" for that week? Sorry if these is are silly questions, but I`m confused as to how it works. thanks for your patience with me. lol Tony

From what I understand they update that list hourly. Its updated depending on hour orders come in. I had ordered back in November, and have periodically changed my order. As I changed it, it was sometimes bumped back a week, since what I added wasnt available during the week I had originally planned on my shipment. I added buff brahmas one time when I called and amended, and didnt know what the answer would be since I noticed it said limited quantity on them. When I ordered, the gal asked me how many I wanted. I said 2. She said thats good, because that was all they had left for that week.

It means females are spoken for that week. Mine are going to be 4 weeks old and from what I can tell, I got what I ordered, which was about 75% pullets, 25% roos. The straight runs are pretty close to 1/2 and 1/2 with a slight weight going to the roos.

I ordered in January and picked up last Saturday and got everything I ordered even though some were listed as not available. All 42 are very healthy and I would order from again.
