Thought hen was molting, now won’t come out of nesting box!!! HELP needed

Her noise sounded a little distressed to me as well.

Some of my girls that molt make a different sound than they normally do. It's sort of a pitiful, precious wimpering that's repeated frequently. It doesn't sound to me like they are in pain, but it's more like a gentle "please don't hurt me!" pleading. It's really quite dear and makes me pay special attention to them.
