Thought I would duck in and say hello!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No chickens, but I'm (very) new to the world of backyard ducks.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None, however am proud parent to two Pekin ducks - Mr Miyagi (who loves to snap at flies with his beak in a valiant effort to catch them) and Tattoo (who will cock her head towards the sky and all but exclaim 'de plane, de plane!' every time one passes overhead).

(3) What breeds do you have?
They're definitely Pekins - yet to be able to ascertain whether they're a boy and a girl or two girls... just when I think I'm convinced one or other of them does something to make me change my mind!

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Every day without fail their antics make me laugh - that, and they're possibly the most loving creatures I've ever known.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Feeding ducks, cleaning up after ducks, laughing at ducks... oh, other hobbies? Sorry, none.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm from Melbourne, Australia and off work injured at the moment - if it wasn't for my ducks I'd be going insane!

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
Every time I Googled anything duck-related I'd end up here - figured it was time to cut out the middle-man and jump on-board!
