From south of you.. and hoping to move up there soon! Oak trees, spansh moss, and horses! I shall have my own Chicken/Peafowl (Horses/Fishies/Hamster/Bunny/whatever else I find to squeak over) farm... or else!

hope i didn't offend with the axe murderer comment, lol. I was being funny since so many people out there still have the mental notion that we're all axe murdereres on forums.

Squishy, this is a really nice area to live in. The only bad thing is that it's too far to a beach. I grew up in Lauderdale which I was only 5 miles to the beach.

About posting on Facebook about your birds - oh boy!! Well of course I have an album full of chick pictures, and I tell everyone when babies hatch, and I posted pictures of myself processing cockerels with my friend tagged as the bird

Apparently, one of my friends is scared of chickens, too, so I get to freak him out.

Red and Yellow~I only have 3 hens thatI just got in Jan or Feb. It got dark a LOT of times since then, so I don't even remember WHEN I got them, lol. Anyhow, 2 Araucana's and 1 Barre Rock. I'm in a neighborhood so am limited.

I had chickens in a long ago life and really missed them. When I started my new life I figured I'll start doing what I darned well pleased, therefore the chickens.

However, the problem will be what to do when they no longer supply me with eggs. Daned things will probably die of old age. I have seen so many beautiful chicken pictures in here I'd love one of each, but I used to have a silkie named PigPen due to her dust baths. She was white.

Mamagain1, lol! I did find an axe against the back fence when I moved in, but when I gave it a shot on a log, I figured I'd better stick with my electric chainsaw.

willkatdawson, I'll be more than happy to talk gardening any time you want. It's one of my passions~cheaper than therapy ya know!
